  1. I mean to give a little thought to this post but it was late last night...

So here's my thought: With dead money (MP1) in there, this seems like a perfect spot for an EP raise to pick up dead money. With MP1 calling (and not raising), and both of their stacks so lite, it feels more like they're making a move / neither of them can stand a strong 3bet which threatens stacks.

I love when I see the squeeze so clearly.

  2. a squeeze is extra "squeezy" against short stacks, nice! this is a gutsy play - without reads, my first thought figure an UTG+2 raiser to have a stronger hand, and I would be less inclined to make this play until I have reason to believe that first raiser has a good chance of folding.

  3. It just seemed like such an obvious play, which is why I 3bet. If he makes the call, I can discount a heart draw (AhKh at least) and probably have 2 cards that are good. If he pushes, I'm put to a "big" decision, but will likely fold.

  4. With no read, can it be argued that if you make this play every time that it is available you're probably losing money in the long run?

  5. I'm not making this move every time in this type of spot. In fact, a good 80% of the time, I'm dropping the hand right there. However, I'm already under the thought that these two guys are not the best players because they have short stacks from their initial buys or don't auto reload.

I had seen the original raiser raise the hand before as well, which also played into it a little bit.

Finally, what kind of hands are coming over the top at 50nl? AK, (which has me dominated), AA, KK, [maybe] QQ, JJ. Against QQ & JJ, I'm not dead. I think all others are either flatting or more-than-likely folding. I'm not very good at math, but I have good fold equity here against that kind of range. Keep in mind that they don't have a read on me and I'm putting 30% of their stack on the line at this point.

  6. Being 2nd hand in, this seems like a good spot to set up your image and meta game. The squeeze is fine w/Kxs imo. With their stack sizes of 50 and 70 BB's, I don't consider them to be really too short stacked either for this move.
