In retrospect, it was a bad call on the end (I wanted to see what he would do on the next street), but I get away from his turn BIG bet.

Are you calling this? Or better, are you calling the check / raise flop? The only hands I can put him on are 99, 66, 22 or (obviously, but less likely) hearts. What about if the next card is a 10s? Would you be calling in that spot - I think [obviously] more likely, but this is not a pretty board...

I think villain's range is much wider than a set or made flush. If he made his hand on that board he would have been protecting it greater and trying to extract more value when a lot of turn cards could destory his hand -- a heart if he has a set, a fourth heart if he has a vulnerable flush, or an overcard if he has top pair. Hero bet a little more than half the pot on a board unlikely to have made his hand based on the pre-flop raise. Nonetheless Hero reveals significant strength of his hand, so if the villain really made a hand better than one pair, he should be looking to get his stack in as quickly as possible and not to get cute with fancy small-check-raises. Because Hero knows the villain to be aggro [despite the small sample size, let's just assume that the villain legitimately is a 33/11] semi-bluffs are def in villain's range as are plenty non-suited Ax garbage hands. Based on that, I believe an Ah-Xx is in his range, as well as Kh9x, 78o with one heart and other similar type hands with seemingly "big" draws for someone that is aggro playing at a 33 VPIP.
