The Poker Meister #6 - BUSTED!

Just as I'm thinking that J9s *NEVER* fails me, it does. This was a well played hand from the BB. It was a big ouchie to me...

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from

CO ($45.38)
Button ($24.33)
SB ($26.33)
BB ($40.39)
UTG ($23)
UTG+1 ($28.36)
MP1 ($25.35)
MP2 ($18.17)
Hero (MP3) ($44.72)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 9h, Jh
1 fold, UTG+1 bets $0.85, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.85, 3 folds, BB calls $0.60

Flop: ($2.65) 2d, 2h, Jc (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $1.55, BB calls $1.55, 1 fold
His range is AJ,KJ,QJ,JT. His call says that he is prepared to check/call this one down.

Turn: ($5.75) 9s (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB calls $3
Regardless of whether or not he has a better kicker, I turn top two. I'm going to continue to get value from this hand.

River: ($11.75) 4c (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5, BB raises to $12, Hero calls $7
Ouch! I should have checked behind to his check/calling a dry board. I actually put him on AJ, which is why I bet out on the flop. I *PROBABLY* could have gotten away from this & was very surprised to see A2 for the flopped trip deuces.

Total pot: $35.75 | Rake: $1.78

BB had 2s, As (three of a kind, twos).
Hero had 9h, Jh (two pair, Jacks and nines).
Outcome: BB won $33.97
