He claims not to have the QQ, but what do you think of this fold? I waffled back & forth. He flats a 4bet pre-flop, rather than shove / fold. I definitely planned on checking the flop / betting the turn and/or check / calling the flop given a "reasonable" bet.
In writing this and having time to reconsider a few days later, though, I think this was probably a bad fold. He can easily show up with JJ, TT, even AQ and want to charge me for what he would perceive to be AK.

Oh and I am not b/f very often in a 4b pot. This is a huge leak IMO. He is really repping one hand that beats you.

ReplyDeleteI feel really bad about this fold. I post these hands up as both pats on the back & criticisms of my play. It serves as a learning experience for me - as a hand review of sorts. This example is not one of my prouder hand histories.
yeah you fucked up the flop.. I mean when you check what the fuck do you expect him to do? Check behind you? Jesus. If you bet the flop then he would have jammed or cold called or given you a little more clue as to what he had... as it is nobody can even guess what he had..
ReplyDeleteI guess he is really repping 2 hands that are beating is QQ and AA but I think in 4 bet pots we have to go with it.
ReplyDeleteOh and I wouldn't feel that bad about it...lol. We all make plays we re-think later. Believe me I make WAAAAAAY worse plays daily. Unfortunately mine usually involve spewing stacks in epic manners.
