Happy New Years, everyone! This Bodog hand made me smile... I lost it, but it's not often where I actually have pot odds for a call going into the river *KNOWING* I'm behind...

HNY to you, too.
ReplyDeleteYour flop call(s) are inexplicable here IMO. You fold to river bets with big hands like it's going out of style, but here you call not one but two bets on the flop with just the inside straight draw on an Ace-high board that almost surely hit at least one of the other players in the hand, and you do so with three players left to act (and got punished for it with the raise once). You should not smile at this hand -- I'm with the commenter, you should smile at the next hand that you say pisses you off, but this hand should disappoint you given your fairly tight style and the way you played the flop.
ReplyDeleteAgreed that I would have called the turn here as well, at that point with all those guys in the flop I would have called. But I actually hate being in this situation because you know you're way behind and are hoping for a miracle catch. Even if you are priced in to draw at it, you are generally just donating your money to the guy who's ahead already.
