"When We Held Kings" - The oral history of the 2003 World Series of Poker

This link was brought to my attention by pokerlistings.com.  It's about the Chris Monkeymaker effect - it's a complete detail of the 2003 WSOP and how it all went down.  Interesting read if you have 30 minute or so - a worthy way to spend some time.

  2. Dover trip was meh. Up and down up and down... When I have time, I'll put together a short post about it, as there was nothing truly monumental. Got to play a few hands of PLO live, which ended in disaster, but nothing important to report.

I'm playing at Ctown tonight, if you'll be up there.

  3. Read it yesterday. Several very interesting statements were made and could have altered that whole tournament outcome and probably poker history.

  4. PM,

I played on Wednesday. 1/2 didn't go quite well. Made a half buy-in at 2/5 before my time there ran out.

    How was your session?

These days I feel, I am loosing a lot of money on draws, irrespective of how much I raise (top top or top two), the players seem to stick around and commit their stacks (medium stacks) and get there everytime. I know in the long term that is a loosing proposition for them, but, in short term it sucks big time for me.
