  2. I got that same email, it's been going around the web. Once they get their $500, you never hear from them again.

Good luck meister! Don't party on test nights!

  4. Thank you for the well wishes. Yeah; this is going to be a huge time suck going forward. However, I think it will only help advance my career. I imagine that school will replace the void of online poker in terms of time. Hopefully, by the time I'm graduated, online poker will be back in full swing.

  5. Congrat's. I got a graduate MPA degree over two years (evenings/weekends) while working full time and I had no time for much else other than work/school. Later I got another grad degree but went to school full time, much better. I'm sure you ran the cost/benefit analysis to make sure a grad degree is worth it. Always best if you can get your employer to pay for it.

  6. @Newin - The cost benefit was fairly simple; work will pay $10k / year towards education. I'll probably (against the better wishes of my wife) drag out the degree to 4-5 years instead of the 2 year expectation. It will wind up costing me $2k instead of $32k.

JHU costs around $52k. Big difference with outputting $30k out of pocket to save 3 years of calendar time.
