Donkin' around on Global Poker

I've been starting to play a bit of online poker lately.  Over the past week, I've run into 2 fun little hands:

It's been a fun going so far.  At the current moment, I have no interest in ramping up my playing to anywhere near levels I was doing pre- Black Friday.

I hope all is well [if there are any remaining] blog subscribers.  Things within the blogosphere have certainly changed; the wold seems to have strongly moved to vlogging.  Oh well.

  2. Thanks Mojo! Over since work blocked comments, it's felt pretty lonely...

  3. Runner runner and flopped straight flushes? Online poker is rigged! There are still several of us who blog. The best places to look to see who updated theirs (I have been slow to post the past year) are TBC's and Rob's blogs.

    1. Yeah... those 2 and you are the only bloggers I've seen active as of late. Unfortunatley, I can't even reply to comments on my own blog when I'm at work...

  4. What's up, sir? What site have you been playing on? Took my action over to Betonline.ag a few years ago. Decent action there. Been playing the $25 game which has been fun...

    1. I kinda gave up on betonline. It became very difficult and Euro-reg ridden.

  5. Hey bud. Still checking my RSS feed for updates. I've been playing on Global for a while. I had a couple of nice scores on there in $30 MTTs. Do you find it hard to play/concentrate when playing for .02/.04 blinds? I ask because I simply cannot do it anymore. If the money is so low, I'd rather just play videogames. This isn't a knock on you at all. Just a point of curiosity.

    1. I understand the concentration factor vs. monetary value. However, I'm running 3-4 tables without a HUD, and my motivation is to build a roll up to the .25/.5 or .5/1 level like I was doing before Black Friday. So far it's been going well at the 02/04 level and I should be up to 05/10 within two weeks. FWIW, I started with $50 and we'll see where it goes...

  6. what do u consider a proper roll for 25.50 and 50c $1? those are probably tougher games than the $1-2 NL in reno

  7. Still here, haha. I understand blogs losing popularity to vlogs but I think instagram posts are also getting more popular than poker blogs. I guess we (poker blogs) are like the flip phones of the smart phone cellular industry. Check out my recent post about a poker hand.
